Oh say can you see, by the console game's light?

So for years I've promised myself that once I made it past this big goal, I'd let myself buy a new game system. Now I've met that goal, but the finances aren't so hot.

So I'm torn. The Wii, well, what can I say. Nintendo launched for my generation, and it hit us hard. But I couldn't buy the system and any games until the fall, assuming I saved for it every month. But maybe it'd be worth it. Zelda made me queer, I'm sure of it.

I'm coming to accept that I'm a Final Fantasy Defector. It still hurts, but I think it's true. Not that that would stop me from playing through until the increasingly endless endgames again. But, you know.

So I donno. Last time I had a crew, they had the money and the systems. My systems are hand-me-downs or farewell gifts. I could use your advice.

Harriet Jones is still prolly playing an original 8-bit NES. Not that there's anything wrong w/that.

So what do y'all think?

Wii first, the Rest, Nowhere!
a DS gets you Nintendoy goodness for 1/2 the price of a Wii
no, no, get a PS2 now that they've dropped below the stratosphere. Same price as a DS!
please. You have a PS1 that you got for free. You can still find games for it. Final Fantasy? Megaman? It won't be so bad.
please. You have a gameboy advance. Charge it up, play what you got. Zelda 3 & FF3 are classics that never get old, right?
your options leave much to be desired. I will school you in comments.
